I am blown away that I get to see God’s majesty in creation every day. In my backyard we have a garden. Our pea plants have been growing like crazy and are now producing peas. This morning I went out and saw the dew heavy upon the leaves. It’s kind of a beautiful thing!
After 10 years of doing actions sports ministry sometimes I feel like I’ve got nothing to show for it. While I know that’s not true, I also know it doesn’t matter. But if I had nothing I am ’empty-handed, but alive in Your hands’ like the song says. I am alive! How great is that?
Although I am a sinner; dirty and broken, his grace has found me and I now stand in the presence of His majesty. Forever I am changed by His love. Like Paul said, “I count everything as lost because of the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus as my Lord and Savior” (Phil. 3:8). The greatest love of all is mine!
I am humbled by His majesty, His creation, His grace and His love. Everything was created for Him, for His glory and His majesty. My breathing is for His majesty. The dew, for His majesty. The pea plants, His majesty. My skateboard, His majesty. Today is for His majesty. You are for His majesty. Psalm 96:6 says, “Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary.”
The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice. Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side. His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all people will see his glory (Psalm 97:1-6)
Will you worship him today? Will you admire His majesty?
