Greetings! My name is Jake Tastad; I am a recent graduate from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelors of Arts in Youth Ministry! Through this past year, my fiancé and I have been praying for clarity from God to show us where we could best partner with him in the world. I am blessed to say that the past two summers have made a phenomenal impact on my life during my experience at JSAW, the action sports ministry. Through a long journey of applications, interviews, and networking, we both feel confident that God has called me to JSAW as the next step in my ministerial career. I deeply believe in what JSAW does and their efforts to reach youth for Christ.
I will be taking a full time position as program manager leading Bible studies, mentoring, service projects, summer/winter camps, and multiple road trips. It will be my privilege to serve as a staff member and mentor to riders in the Twin Cities. Action sports have proven to be a powerful bridge to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many of the riders we serve have not been a part of a church growing up. JSAW creates an environment where I can come along side of them in what they love to do and share with them about Christ. I am looking forward to building relationships with riders and interworking my passions for youth and action sports!
