Skate Park Director Needed!
Battleground Skate House in Battle Creek, Michigan is a start up Indoor Skateboard/BMX/Scooter park. With only one other indoor park within 90 miles and over 9 months of operation we have served over 900 different youth, over 9,000 different times! Battleground runs skate church on Tuesday nights and Bible studies for local youth who largely (though not all) want nothing to do with traditional church.
All those interested in applying should be able to show strong evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, be able to sign our statement of faith (focused on salvation), be flexible, have a clean criminal background check, significant ministry experience, and enjoy working with kids and teenagers. Management experience and a 4 year college degree preferred.
Applicants should understand that Battleground cannot at this time pay a full time salary but can offer part time wages. The chosen applicant will be encouraged to raise ongoing support from personal supporters for their work at Battleground. Further Battleground is willing to use personal and professional connections to help the accepted applicant find local supplemental employment.
The chosen applicant will be expected to work a minimum of 20-30 hours per week and will oversee daily operations, special events, staffing, and business management. Further they will need to coordinate and communicate with suppliers, the accountant, the park chaplain, and governance board.
