This weekend JSAW’s crew was out at SonShine Festival in Willmar, MN hanging out with thousands of people jamming to bands like Need to Breathe, August Burns Red, Switchfoot, Sleeping Giant and many more! There is also the community of vendors and brands that gather to sell their goods and raise awareness for their cause. We come to the festival to be a place for the skaters to connect, share about JSAW and Help Board Shop and to see those familiar faces that we see each year. Fast food, mosh pits, and no sleep for 4 long, loud, hot days. It’s non-stop mayhem!
Josh and Ian have been on the road for several weeks straight and everyday has it’s challenges. Forgotten or miscommunicated details, the stress of travel, skating nonstop, rushing to meet deadlines, sleeping in the van… And yet they are still being the hands of feet of Jesus. One of the staff at SonShine shared a beautiful moment when he saw one of the JSAW guys in the midst of the crowd praying with someone. Right smack dab in the middle of all the craziness, caring for another person.
It takes a special kind of person to do what these guys do, day in and day out. They are humble, but they are also the best. Being able to survive the rigorous summer schedule JSAW has is one thing. Being able to fully function, hit objectives AND have the capacity to care for others needs in the midst of absolute chaos everyday… Let’s just say JSAW is extraordinarily blessed to have the incredible staff that we do. We praise God for our people!
