I have been married to my hubby Pete for 28 years. Our son Sam is 14 and loves skateboarding. I work full time as a national Licensing Supervisor for Coldwell Banker Realty and have my own Pampered Chef business as an Independent Consultant. My hobbies are cooking and baking, reading and watching Hallmark movies 🙂 I am passionate about bringing JOY to peoples’ lives and helping people reach their goals.
I was raised in a Christian home and attended Concordia University, St. Paul. As I raise my own child, I find my faith is growing even more. Seeing things from the point of view of a parent…the LOVE with no bounds…Unconditional LOVE…You really can’t understand how God can love us that way until you love someone else that way. Forgiveness and Grace – especially with a teenager – it puts your faith in a new light.
Sam heard about JSAW/HELP about 4 years ago. He started going with friends while he was riding scooter. He quickly got to know more kids and the staff and continued to be there when he switched to skateboarding. I am just starting to volunteer with fundraising and events. I figure I still have at least 4 years of my kid being involved…I need to be here!
I love knowing that Sam is in a place where he can be himself and sees Christian young men as mentors and friends. He is able to talk about his faith and sees it as his mission also.
